“SOAR” – Seeds of Faith – March 13, 2023

Central Philippine University is celebrating Christ Emphasis Week from March 10 to March 17, 2023 with the Theme: SOAR and the Scripture Text found in Isaiah 40:27-31.

Here are four things that we can see in the Theme and Text:

S – Strength

As we reflect on Isaiah 40:27-31, we are reminded of the incredible strength that God provides to those who trust in Him. The passage speaks of how those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. As God pointed out we should not be a complainer like the youth who grew tired and weary. Instead, we put our hope in the Lord who will energize us and then we can soar on wings like eagles.

O – Overcome

Through this passage, we are encouraged to overcome the challenges and struggles that we may face in our lives. We are reminded that God is always with us, and that He will give us the strength and perseverance to overcome any obstacle that comes our way. There might be times that we will become weary and weak but we should not give up because God is with us.

A – Assurance

The words of Isaiah also provide us with the assurance that God is always watching over us and caring for us. It tells us that we do not need to fear or be anxious, for God is in control and will guide us through life’s ups and downs. Isaiah 40:28 says, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.” This verse should assure us that God is always there because He is everlasting.

R – Renewal

Finally, Isaiah speaks of the renewal of our strength, as we wait upon the Lord. This reminds us that, no matter how tired or weary we may become, we can always turn to God for renewal and strength. By putting our hope in God, we can trust that He will guide us through any situation and help us to soar to new heights.

As we read Isaiah 40:27-31, we are filled with a sense of hope and encouragement. We are reminded that, through God’s strength, we can overcome any obstacle and that He will always be with us, guiding us and renewing our strength.

May God bless us all!

Sincerely,
