The Philippines finally received its first batch of COVID-19 vaccine and some frontliners were subsequently vaccinated. It seems that every country and everyone have been eagerly awaiting to have the vaccine in order to protect ourselves, and to end the pandemic.
If we have been eagerly awaiting the vaccine, then as Christians, we should be more eager to await the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
The Bible is full of prophecies, and and one of prophecies that is yet to be fulfilled is found in Acts 1:11. In this verse, the angels told the gathered disciples that Jesus will come again.
So, what should we do as we wait for the coming again of Jesus?
First, we must be ready.
Matthew 24:44 tells us that Jesus will come at a time that we do not expect — “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
Second, we should expect to be judged.
Matthew 16:27 reminds us that that there will be Judgment Day. It says, “For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.”
Third, we must be steadfast in our faith.
James 5:8 reiterates that we must be patient, and that we must bear fruit — “You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.”
For sure, Jesus will come again! Let us be ready for it!
May God bless us all!
Sincerely,
