November is usually a Thanksgiving Month. This month is a good reminder that in spite of what is happening around us, we can still pause and thank God.
What are the things that we should be thankful to God?
First, thank God for the person or persons that influenced your life for the better.
In Philippians 1:3, Paul wrote, “I thank my God every time I remember you.” In 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3, Paul also wrote, “We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
In like manner, when we remember that someone, pause for a while and thank God for his or her life. Take time also to thank their person either through a call or message. Paul took the time to write a letter even if it was difficult during that time. Now, with a better technology, we have no excuse to thank somebody who made an impact in our life.
Second, thank God for the opportunities to share the Gospel.
Paul was somebody whom we can learn a lot. When he was put into trial, he made it an opportunity to share Jesus Christ. When he was imprisoned, he used it as an opportunity to share the Gospel to jailers, and also wrote letters to churches. He was not bitter but saw it as an avenue to let people know about our Lord and Savior.
How about us? Are we making excuses not to share the Gospel? Or are we finding creative ways to share the Gospel in this time of the pandemic?
Find something to thank God today. You will be surprised how many blessings God has given you.
May God bless us all!
Sincerely,
