“Embrace God’s Word” – Seeds of Faith – January 29, 2024

The last Monday of January is National Bible Day. This is mandated by Philippine law. It is a time when our nation collectively recognizes the importance of the Bible in our lives. Today, let us reflect into the living, guiding, and eternal nature of the Word of God.

First, remember that the Word of God is a Living Word.

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

The Bible is not just a collection of ancient texts; it is alive and active. Just as a sharp sword pierces through the deepest layers, God’s Word penetrates our innermost being. It discerns our thoughts and attitudes, urging us to align our lives with its timeless truths. Today, let’s open our hearts to the living power of the Word.

Second, God’s Word is our Guide.

Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

In a world often shrouded in darkness, the Bible serves as a reliable lamp for our journey. It illuminates our path, providing clarity and direction. As we navigate life, let us remember that God’s Word is a constant light, guiding us step by step.

Third, the Word of God is an Eternal Truth.

Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

While earthly things may fade away, the words of Jesus will stand forever. In a world of change, the Bible anchors us to eternal truths. God’s Word is a steadfast foundation that remains steady and unchanging.

As we reflect on the significance of the National Bible Day, let us commit to embrace the living, guiding, and eternal Word of God. Let the Bible shape our thoughts, guide our steps, and anchor our lives in the unchanging truths of our Lord.

May God bless us all!

Sincerely,
