“Jesus will accompany you” – Seeds of Faith – April 18, 2022

One of the post-resurrection stories is that of two disciples who were going to Emmaus.

What can we learn from this story?

First, talk to one another about Jesus Christ.

These two disciples talked about the events that happened in Jerusalem that revolved around the life of Jesus Christ.

Nowadays the foremost topic in many conversations is about the upcoming national and local elections. People are talking passionately about their chosen candidates. There is nothing wrong with this. What could be wrong in this is if we forget to talk about Jesus Christ.

If we can passionately campaign for our chosen candidates, then there is no excuse to tell others about Jesus Christ.

Second, Jesus wants accompany us in our daily walk.

These two disciples were feeling downcast. They felt hopeless. Although they received word that the tomb is empty, they still decided to go away from Jerusalem.

In this hopeless situation, Jesus came in and walked with them. Jesus also broke bread with them when they invited him. Later, they would asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32). Because of the accompaniment of Jesus, they were given hope and they immediately went back to Jerusalem to be with the 11 disciples.

If we are in a weary situation, take heart because Jesus is there to accompany you.

May God bless us all!

Sincerely,
