The voter turnout in this election was high. As of this time, most of us are still checking and then checking again on who are winning.
What can we learn from this election? What does the Bible teaches us?
Some of my favorite verses in the Bible starts with, “and it came to pass…” Indeed, this tells us that what happened in this election will surely come to pass. Now, if everything will come to pass, what should we do?
In 1 Corinthians 13:13, Paul wrote, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Paul is telling us that whatever is happening around us, think about these three things.
First, do not lose your faith in God.
Whatever is the outcome of this election, do not blame God.
There is the will of God, and then there is the will of people. The Bible tells us that we have the freedom to choose. God has allowed us to exercise our freewill. As we face the consequences of our freewill, let us continue to hold on to God.
Second, continue to hope.
Hope is what propels us to act. It is hope that enables us to dream dreams ans envision visions.
Our hope is anchored on the Risen Christ. Every time you see a disheartening situation, take heart because Jesus has already overcome it. Do not lose hope.
Third, love with everything that you have.
Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment is to love God with all our being and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
So, go out tomorrow and show how a Christian truly loves someone. Love your country because this is the country that God has put us into.
Take a deep breath and say, “I will continue to have faith, I will hope, and I will love.”
May God bless us all!
Sincerely,
