“Rely on God’s strength” – Seeds of Faith – September 4, 2023

Have you ever felt inadequate or overwhelmed by the tasks before you? Do you want to surrender because you felt that the challenges before you are just too much? Yes, we have felt this way in some time of our lives. What can the Bible tell us?
Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Here are three things to remember:
First, the power of Christ is in us.
When we feel overwhelmed, remember that the very power that raised Christ from the dead resides within you. The strength of Christ enables us to break through the barriers of self-doubt and limitations. We are not confined by our weaknesses, for God’s strength operates in our weakness, making us strong where we thought we are frail.
Second, Jesus provides us daily strength.
Our journey im life is filled with unpredictable twists and turns. However, as Christians, we have the promise of ongoing strength. Just as God provided manna to sustain the Israelites in the desert, He provides us with daily grace and strength to face whatever lies ahead. We do not need to rely on our own understanding or finite abilities. With the strength coming from Jesus Christ, we can navigate the challenges with unwavering faith and confidence.
Third, Jesus has empowered us to fulfill God’s purpose.
The strength we receive from Christ is not solely for our benefit; it equips us to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. When we step out in faith, God’s strength propels us forward, even when circumstances seem impossible. The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary individuals accomplishing extraordinary feats through God’s empowerment. Think of David facing Goliath, Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt, and countless others who tapped into God’s strength to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
Philippians 4:13 serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder that we are never alone on this journey. Our God stands ready to infuse us with ongoing strength through the power of Christ. Let us embrace this truth and face each day with the assurance that we can indeed do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
May God bless us all!
Sincerely,
