“Be grateful to God” – Seeds of Faith – November 20, 2023

First, have a thankful heart.
Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
In this verse, Paul encourages the Philippians to approach God with gratitude in all circumstances. Thanksgiving is not just a cultural tradition but a commandment to seek God with a thankful heart, finding peace that surpasses worldly understanding.
Second, remember God’s faithfulness.
Psalm 100:4 says “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
The Psalmist reminds us to enter God’s presence with thanksgiving. As we gather for our Thanksgiving celebration, let us not forget to enter into God’s courts with hearts full of gratitude, remembering His faithfulness and provision throughout the year.
Third, sharing will result into thanksgiving.
2 Corinthians 9:11 says “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
Thanksgiving is not only about receiving but also about giving. As God enriches us, let us share His blessings generously, not only with our loved ones but with those in need. Our generosity becomes a testimony that leads to thanksgiving directed towards God.
Let us approach this Thanksgiving Month with a heart of obedience, remembering God’s faithfulness, and expressing our gratitude through acts of love and generosity. May our celebrations be a reflection of the deep thanksgiving we have for the abundant grace and blessings bestowed upon us by our loving God.
May God bless us all! Happy Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
